Full description
Venture into the snowy setting of Oulx, on the border between Italy and France!
It is precisely in this setting that our snowshoe hike takes place: in the company of an environmental excursion guide, you will walk for 3 hours through characteristic mountain villages and into pine and larch forests.
You will follow the footprints of the local animals and, with a bit of luck, you might even meet them!
What we will do
The appointment is at 09:00 at the meeting point in Oulx (TO). We will be welcomed by our Environmental Hiking Guide, who will accompany us on this adventure in the snow!
After an initial presentation, we will receive the necessaryequipment and useful information for the experience. We will put on our snowshoes, hold our poles and begin our snowshoeing.
We will venture into the Oulx basin, discovering nearby villages such as Pierremenaud, Vazon, Villaretto and San Marco. We will then enter pine and larch forests, cross clearings and follow the tracks of the animals that inhabit the area: with a bit of luck, we may spot deer, roe deer, foxes and even eagles! Watching over us along the entire route will be the Chaberton and Seguret, peaks of the Alps that separate Italy and France.
After walking about 5/6 km with an altitude difference of 200 m, we will return to the meeting point. The snowshoe hike will last 3 hours; the total experience will last 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The excursion is of an easy level and suitable for a first snowshoe hike.
The route is also suitable for those who suffer from vertigo.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 5 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
The location of the excursion may vary depending on weather conditions at the guide's discretion; the alternative location may be approximately 10 km (15 minutes by car) away from the one currently indicated.
Leashed dogs may participate in the experience.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
