Full description
There is something magical about the muffled sound of snow underfoot. And even more magical in the smell of lunch waiting for you when you return.
Join us for an excursion on snowshoes in the Natural Park of the Ligurian Alps: with an Alpine Guide you will cross the Bosco delle Navette, a place that seems to have come straight out of a winter fairy tale, with snow-covered beeches and white glades.
And at the end, a lunch will be waiting for you at the inn to end the day in the best way: with a hot dish, a smile and the satisfaction of having earned it.
What we will do
The meeting is at 9 a. m. in Upega (CN), in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Ligurian Alps. After the welcome, the guide will provide us with snowshoes and poles (included), explaining how to use them and giving us a few safety tips before setting off.
Then off we go, into the silence of the Bosco delle Navette: a route of around 6 km with 200 metres of altitude difference, perfect for enjoying the snow without hurrying. We will walk among centuries-old beeches, clearings and views that open up suddenly, with the Alpine Guide who will tell us the history of the park, the fauna that inhabits it, and the magic of an ecosystem that changes with every season.
There will be no shortage of stops to take photos or admire the splendid panorama that stretches from the peaks of the Marguareis to the sea (on certain clear days it seems almost within reach! ).
Around 12 noon, after about 3 hours of hiking, we will return to the starting point. At the Locanda D'upega a typical lunch will be waiting for us with a first course, second course with side dish, dessert and coffee (drinks not included) . A convivial and relaxed moment, perfect to recount the morning in front of a steaming plate and, perhaps, a good glass of wine.
Between briefing, preparation, snowshoeing and lunch, the experience lasts about 4 hours.
