Full description

You may never walk on the Moon, but snowshoeing on the Rosetta Plateau is almost the same thing!

Prepare to discover alongside an Alpine Guide a white plateau as far as the eye can see, at an altitude of almost 2, 700 metres, where the world seems to become silence and pure space.

A 6-hour snowshoe hi ke in one of the most iconic environments of the Pale di San Martino: so spectacular that it seems like another planet!

What we will do

The meeting point is 15 minutes before 9: 30 a. m. at the meeting point in San Martino di Castrozza (TN).

Together with the Alpine Guide, we will prepare to ascend by cable car to the Rosetta Plateau (ticket not included and to be paid for on site) . Once we reach 2, 700 metres, we will receive our snowshoes and poles and participate in a pre-departure briefing.

We will then set out on the plateau, an open, vast and unique environment. We will move in the direction of the Fradusta Glacier, admiring the panoramic scenery of the plateau and enjoying the view of the Pale di Martino.

During the route, which is about 5 km long and has an altitude difference of 200 metres, we will make several stops to take photos, rest and listen to the guide's stories about this area. Halfway through the day we will stop for a free lunch break: we can eat packed or at the Rosetta Refuge.

After the break, we will close our loop and return to the cable car station, from where we will descend to the valley to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 6 hours.

Who it is aimed at

Participation is possible from the age of 12. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult; over 14s can also participate alone.
