Full description

A snowshoe hike suitable for the whole family, in the province of Bergamo.

That's how we would describe this experience, no frills. We'll let the magical snow-covered landscape of San Simone do the talking: in the company of an Environmental Hiking Guide, you'll venture into this natural setting with a unique panoramic view from Val Brembana to Valtellina.

A 3-hour experience, enriched with naturalistic information that will intrigue young and old alike!

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before 09:30 at the meeting point in San Simone, hamlet of Valleve (BG). We will be welcomed by the Environmental Hiking Guide who will accompany us on this adventure!

Having gathered all the participants and handed over theequipment, the guide will explain how to use snowshoes and provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.

And here we are ready to begin our snowshoe hike in the snowy landscape of San Simone: we will venture uphill to the Baita del Camoscio (Chamois Hut), spotting a natural lake of glacial origin along the way. We will then reach the Baita Belvedere, which will give us a unique panoramic view from the Val Brembana to the Valtellina: it is here that we will stop to admire the panorama and listen to anecdotes about the area told by the guide.

We will then set off again, this time downhill, taking another pastoral road that will lead us to the meeting point. Along the way, it is possible to agree on a stop at a refuge to recover energy, with a snack to be paid for. The snowshoe hike will be enriched with naturalistic information and, in the presence of children, the guide will not fail to involve them in recognising animal tracks!

After about 1.5 hours of walking with 200 metres of altitude difference, we will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
