Soft rafting on the Aniene river in the province of Rome

Too many outdoor activities to choose from? When in doubt, go with the flow! With this soft rafting experience on the Aniene river you can indulge in an hour and a half of pure fun.

Come to the province of Rome, get on an inflatable boat and let the waters of the river take you downstream. A river guide will help you navigate the 5 km course through the Monti Simbruini Park.

During the descent you can admire the beauty of the surrounding vegetation and paddle from one waterfall to another while the guide tells you the secrets and history of the area!

What we will do

We will meet 30 minutes in advance in Subiaco (RM), where an experienced river guide will be waiting for us. Once our valuables have been placed in a storage room, we will be divided into crews and put on the necessarytechnical equipment. We will then have a briefing of about 15 minutes to learn the correct paddling techniques and, once we are ready, we will begin our soft rafting adventure on the Aniene river.

The route runs for 5 km through the beautiful Monti Simbruini Park. On board the raft we will paddle for an hour together with the river guide and encounter small rapids and waterfalls that we will enjoy descending: the highest one measures 2 m!

We will be surrounded by the enchanting nature of the park with its rich vegetation, which we will be able to admire while the guide tells us about the history of the area. We will also be accompanied by a photographer who will capture the best moments of the activity in souvenir photos and videos (not included and optional).

Once in the valley, we will board a shuttle bus (included) which will take us back to our starting point in approximately 15 minutes. The experience, including briefing, lasts a total of one and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone from 6 years of age. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 can participate if a responsible adult signs a waiver.

It is not necessary to know how to swim, but you must be comfortable in the water.

Other information

The activity takes place on the days indicated in the calendar from the beginning of April to the end of October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 8 participants. Each dinghy accommodates between 4 and 8 people.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport. Free parking spaces are available in the vicinity. At the end of the experience, you will return to the starting point with a shuttle service included in the fee.

Storage facilities for small valuables (such as mobile phones and wallets) are available at the facility. If items are strictly necessary during the course of the activity, it will be possible to store them in a waterproof bag and take them with you. Photos and videos of the activity can also be purchased on site at a cost of €12.
