Did you know that the Adige is the second longest river in Italy?
And thanks to its cosy characteristics, it is suitable for arafting experience for the whole family: our guided excursion takes place in this natural setting just a short distance from the city of Verona, discovering the area amidst historical narratives and heron sightings.
Paddling, water games and swimming in the current for 1 hour and 45 minutes of fun, for young and old!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Volargne (VR). We will be welcomed by the rafting guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, we will each board our own means of transport to reach the embarkation point, only 10 minutes away by car. Once there, theequipment will be handed over and a briefing will take place during which the guide will provide all the useful information for a carefree activity.
And here we are ready to get on the dinghy and let ourselves be carried away by the current of theAdige, the second longest river in Italy, which due to its morphological characteristics is suitable for a peaceful rafting experience. We will paddle in a natural setting not far from the city of Verona, spotting historic Austro-Hungarian forts and friendly herons hiding among the vegetation. Between one story and another discovering the area, we will arrive in the scenic Canyon of Ceraino, which will enchant us with its sheer rock walls overlooking the river.
After about 9 km of navigation, enriched with water games and swimming in the current, we will land at the disembarkation point, which is just a few metres from the meeting point; the guide will take us back to retrieve any cars parked at the embarkation point. The rafting excursion will last 1 hour and 45 minutes; the total experience will last 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 4 and up; unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 must have a waiver.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to take part in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first rafting descent.
Other information
The experience takes place from March to November and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
There is free parking on site; the meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. The experience includes a transfer by own vehicle. Participants are asked to provide their own vehicle in order to move with as few vehicles as possible.
There are no changing rooms on site. Any personal items can be stored in the waterproof bag provided.
