If your winter adventures always end up on the sofa with a blanket, it's time to change plans. Get ready for a wonderful snow hike in Valmalenco!
A 4-hour sunset snowshoe hi ke awaits you in Chiesa in Valmalenco that will make you say "wow" with every step. In the company of your guide, you'll reach alpine pastures and viewpoints to enjoy the spectacle of the Alps turning pink.

What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Chiesa in Valmalenco (SO) . Waiting for us, we will find the guide who will accompany us on our snowshoe hike at sunset!
After the meeting we will compact the cars and make a short transfer, lasting about 10 minutes, to the starting point of the snowshoe hike. Depending on the route chosen, there may be an ascent by chairlift (ticket not included and to be paid locally) .
We will put on snowshoes (not included, with the possibility of renting) and begin the snowshoe walk. We will enter a fairytale alpine environment, following snow-covered paths through fir and larch forests. The route will give us a great view of the Valmalenco mountains and the typical alpine landscape.
During the snowshoe hike, we will take several breaks where the guide will tell us about the history and characteristics of the natural environment we are passing through. But the most magical thing will be the sunset light that will flood the landscape with its gold!
The hike will cover a total distance of about 7 km, with an ascent of about 100 metres and a descent of about 500 metres.
The experience will last a total of 4 hours, of which about 2½ hours will be spent on actual walking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 10. To participate, one must be in good health, not suffer from asthma or heart problems and be used to walking.
The activity is not recommended for pregnant women.
There are no exposed points along the route.
Other information
The experience is bookable every Saturday from December to April and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
Snowshoes are not included. If you wish to hire them, please contact the organiser after the booking confirmation to request them (€10 with payment on site) .
The route may vary depending on snow conditions. If the snowshoe hike takes place at Lake Palü, you will need to pay the cable car fare (13€) on site.
Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
