Who said canyoning is only a summer activity?
With us, you can experience the thrill of winter canyoning, an evocative adventure amid snow-covered rocks and clear water. Thanks to the waterproof suits, you won't fear the extremely low temperatures: you can slide on the slides and dive into the pools of water while remaining completely dry.
Come and try it out in Val Maggiore, just a few kilometres from Belluno: together with our expert guides, you will face an adventurous 3-hour course in a canyon that winds its way around the picturesque Lake Santa Croce. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is at 11. 00 a. m. at the Cornolade Waterfalls, in Ponte nelle Alpi (a few kilometres from Belluno) . Here we will meet our guide and begin with a briefing on descent techniques and specific safety rules for winter canyoning.
We will then be equipped with dry suits, harness, helmet and descenders and, after a 10-minute walk, we will reach the entrance to the canyon, which winds its way near the picturesque Santa Croce Lake. We will find ourselves immersed in a fairytale environment, where waterfalls and rocks framed by snow will give us the feeling of entering an enchanted world.
The most exciting challenge will be the abseil next to the spectacular 30-metre-high Cornolade Waterfall, where we will be able to admire the winter landscape behind us. We will feel the adrenalin rush as we rappel down the wall, surrounded by the contrast between the white of the snow and the blue of the water. The less daredevils will still be able to watch the descent from the impressive panoramic terrace above the waterfall.
We will continue with shorter rappels, natural slides and dives (up to 9 metres) into pools of clear water, always protected by the dry suit that keeps us dry.
The activity will last about 2 hours in total and will end with a 10-minute walk back to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, even first-time participants. You can participate from 16 to 85 years of age and if you weigh less than 120 kg.
You will have to inform the guide if you suffer from any special conditions, such as asthma or cardiac arrhythmias.
Other information
Winter canyoning with wetsuits takes place daily from October to May. If you want to experience this in the summer months, check out Canyoning at the Cornolade Falls in Val Maggiore at the foot of the Dolomites.
It is compulsory to wear trainers (rock shoes or hiking boots are not OK) . Anyone not wearing suitable shoes will not be allowed to participate in the experience.
By requesting this in advance and paying a surcharge of €10 on site, it is possible to rent a pair of shoes for the activity. In addition, if you wish, you can purchase photos taken during the activity at a cost of 20€ per booking (even of several participants) , to be paid on site to the guide.
Helmets equipped with GoPro attachments will be provided.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
