Full description
Discover the best ofSouth Tyrol on asnowshoe hike in the popular ski resort of Speikboden. Enjoy the silence of the forests, the peace of the mountain paths and a picture-postcard snowy landscape.
Snowshoes on your feet and poles in hand, you will climb up the slopes until you reach a vantage point with a wonderful view of the Ahrntal valley.
What we will do
Our meeting point is at the valley station of Speikboden, one of the most famous ski resorts in South Tyrol, at Costa di Tures in Campo Tures (BZ).
We will meet the guide and after a short briefing on the route, we will equip ourselves with snowshoes and poles (which can be rented on site for 10€) and get ready to take the cable car up to the top (ticket not included in the participation fee).
Arriving at Speikboden, we will quickly move away from the ski slopes and venture into the trails and forests of the area. Amidst expanses of Swiss stone pine and sunny slopes, we will hike for about 4 hours in the fresh snow, along a path that will take us higher and higher and away from the crowds, until we reach a splendid panoramic terrace.
From here, on a clear day, a magnificent view opens up, embracing the entire Aurina Valley below and giving us intense emotions: the right reward for the exertions of the climb!
After remaining in contemplation of nature for the time necessary also to recover our energy, we will prepare for the return to the valley.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level. The route does not present any particular technical difficulties and is suitable for anyone who is in good physical shape and used to walking several hours in the mountains. Participation is possible from the age of 10 and up.
Other information
Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
The hike takes place from December to March/April every Thursday at 10 a.m. (subject to snow and weather conditions).
The participation fee does not include the provision of snowshoes and poles, which can be hired on site for an extra €10 per person. The ticket for the cable car is also paid for by the participant.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are socialised.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
