19 Aug 2026 | Night on a houseboat on the Fiano lake near Turin

Delicious!!!

We stumbled across it by chance on Facebook and chose the largest cottage, with a kitchenette; we wanted to celebrate an anniversary… we were a bit worried about the mosquitoes, as it was a completely unfamiliar situation… but instead we discovered a delightful little spot, a world away from it all…a little lake without a single mosquito! Tucked away amongst the branches of tall trees, quiet (we’d deliberately chosen the evening when the adjacent restaurant was closed because we wanted peace and quiet...) A few hours before we arrived, Andrea suggested adding a hot tub on a ‘raft’ attached to the cottage… Hmm… We thought to ourselves, why not! Well, we’ll never do without it again…We were able to use it the whole time: late at night, early in the morning… in short, magnificent, intimate, out of the ordinary – the perfect escape from the everyday. A delightful little cottage, spotlessly clean, with all the mod cons. Andrea is a real gentleman! Extremely kind and approachable, he really puts you at ease

It’s all very nice...

As you can see from the photos, it’s all very nice. Given the location, I immediately worried about mosquitoes, but there weren’t any. So everything was great. Everyone was brilliant and friendly.

Relaxation close to home

I booked the ‘regular’ boat for a special anniversary; the welcome was prompt and efficient, the surroundings very peaceful if you’re looking to spend a quiet evening, and the lake was cleaner than expected thanks to the water recirculation system – and its wildlife helped us to relax even further. The little boat was tastefully furnished and equipped with almost every amenity needed to make the experience perfect. A few small upgrades I’d suggest to the owners: a mosquito net on the little balcony, better blinds to ensure a good night’s sleep, and the option to switch off the lighting on the outdoor cobblestones, to make stargazing even more worthy of a ‘starbox’. I’ll most likely return/for more getaways (perhaps trying the ‘Sky’ room, which was unfortunately unavailable this time).
