The zipline, also known as “angel flight,” is a zipper line used for recreational purposes. The largest zipline in Europe is actually in San Vigilio di Marebbe, in the province of Bolzano. You take off from the starting station at 1,600 m above sea level and slide down into the valley suspended in the void along the 3.2 km of cable to the arrival station. Along the way, a total elevation gain of 400 m is made and a speed of 80 km/h is touched.
The route is composed of several sections, each divided from the other by an intermediate station. The longest is the middle section, in which you fly for 800 meters uninterrupted. At the highest point from the ground, there is 100 meters of height between the passenger and the ground, making for a killer feeling!
How much does a zipline ride in San Vigilio cost?
