The zipline is a system consisting of a pulley that runs along a strong steel cable and has solid slings that support the passenger as they go downhill. Significant speeds are reached on the aerial ropeway, but thanks to advanced technology and trained personnel, you remain safe at all times.
The angel flight is done individually to truly challenge yuorself. Some ziplines, however, also allow couple flights to share the experience with a friend or loved one. Generally, ziplines are active from spring to fall. For a zipline flight in Trentino, the summer months are recommended, when temperatures are not too cold and you can admire nature in all its glory.
No special skills or experience are required to ziplines. Just don’t suffer from vertigo and have a good dose of courage to jump into the void! Children with a body weight of at least 35/40 kg can also fly.
Trentino-Alto Adige can boast the largest zipline in Europe, that of San Vigilio di Marebbe, in the province of Bolzano. It is a cable car with a total length of 3.2 km, divided into several sections with a total elevation gain of 400 meters.
The San Vigilio zipline is located in the heart of the Alto Adige Dolomites and promises great thrills and thrilling aerial routes. At the highest point, the passenger is suspended 100 meters above the ground. In the longest section, you descend 800 meters uninterrupted and reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
The Monte Pana zipline in Val Gardena also guarantees great thrills. It is half as long as the one in Marebbe, but allows for the same speeds and close-up views of the majestic Dolomite peaks.
Smaller and especially suitable for children is the Ortisei zipline, also in Val Gardena. At 680 meters in length, it allows you to fly above the trees and then continue with a fun ride inside the adventure park.
An angel flight in Trentino, on the San Vigilio di Marebbe zipline, costs 79 euros per person. The service includes assistance from trained staff and, for an additional fee, you can add the rental of an action cam to take a video of the experience. Absolutely recommended choice to capture the adrenaline bursting through your veins!
Not sure what to get your partner or best friend for their next birthday? Choose a zipline flight and give them a pure adrenaline-pumping experience. An angel flight in Trentino is a great idea to make your own mountain vacation special or to celebrate a graduation, bachelor/bachelorette party or any other event.

Adrenaline experience, a lot of fear, but all in all it was beautiful to fly over the woods. I don't recommend renting an action cam. Unless you're handy, you'll be on the hook the whole time and won't be able to film anything, as in my case. Better one of those to attach to your helmet. The guys are quite easygoing, they don't instil a lot of confidence but nevertheless I've seen that they know their stuff.
