What is and how does tandem paragliding work
A paraglider is a means of free flight consisting of a rectangular-shaped steerable glider made of lightweight fabric to which the pilot‘s seat (or harness) is attached. Using this instrument, paragliders take off gently from the top of a slope or steep mountain faces to descend to the valley.
How does tandem flying work? It is very simple: once the take-off point is reached, equipment is prepared. Firmly harnessed with the pilot, it only takes a few meters of downhill run-up to allow the paraglider to open and take off. At that point, updrafts will allow the vehicle to move forward until landing.
The main take-off points on Lake Garda
Among the main paragliding locations on Lake Garda‘s eastern shore, there are the quaint villages of Toscolano Maderno and Gardone Riviera, which offer Mount Pizzocolo as their primary and most famous takeoff point in the Brescian Pre-Alps. Flying from here it is possible to fly over the lake to admire its western slope and much of the Po Valley from above.
On the border between Lombardy and Trentino, there are other areas suitable for tandem paragliding that overlook the Ledro Valley where you can enjoy incredible views of pastures, rock faces, and the characteristic Ledro Lake.
Another important takeoff point is on the western shore of Lake Garda where Mount Baldo, a mountain massif in the Gardesane Pre-Alps, can be reached starting from the small town of Malcesine.

Professionalism, attention and care
Mattia was really kind and professional in accompanying my wife and I on this new adventure! He was very good and attentive to our needs, putting us at ease by calibrating the flight to our reactions (I, for example, suffer the most from turns and so he kept a calmer ride, while my wife went for a more acrobatic flight as she loves adrenaline). Everything was handled safely, without any problems or hiccups. Highly recommended!

First timer.
Very straight forward to book. Great communication once booked to the actual day. Superbly organised. Small wait at cable cars an# at take off due to clouds. Well worth the wait it was breathtaking. Great photos and videos whilst on the paragliding jump.

How to get the sadness out of the way!
This is the second time I have flown; the first time I flew alone, this time I fulfilled a wish of friends, I couldn't leave them alone! It is always a unique emotion: exciting, thrilling, adrenaline-fuelled! The scenery is always breathtaking, whatever the weather. Friendly and experienced instructors, who immediately put you at your ease and explain to you in detail all the preparation and your tasks. The flight, well, there are no words to describe it: it is simply unique. It is impossible to return to the ground and not have a smile on your face!
