Canyoning: what you need to know
Canyoning is a water discipline that involves the exploration of ravines, which are narrow rock gorges through which mountain streams flow. Accompanied by a guide, you descend on foot along the watercourse. During the activity, you may encounter waterfalls and rock walls to be overcome by abseiling, just to later enjoy a dip in natural pools and have fun getting carried away by the current of the slides.
Canyoning is practiced in groups and has different levels of difficulty. There are easy routes that can be practiced even by families with children, and much more challenging routes suitable only for sportsmen. The activity is conducted by certified mountain guides and meets all safety standards.
To go canyoning, you wear a neoprene wetsuit, which is provided by the outdoor center, along with a helmet, ropes and harness. Participants are asked to wear a swimsuit, thermal shirt and hiking shoes you’re fine with getting wet.
The best places to go canyoning on Lake Garda
All sides of Lake Garda have suitable locations for canyoning. Near Riva del Garda in Trentino, Italy, the Rio Nero and Rio Palvico rivers offer numerous trails of varying difficulty. Canyoning in Brentino, on the other hand, is the most convenient choice for those coming from Verona. Finally, Lombardy also offers several possibilities with the Vione Stream in Tignale and the San Michele Stream in Campione, both in the province of Brescia.

A wonderful experience. Thomas, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and constantly put us at ease by explaining all the complicated steps in all the languages necessary to be understood by the group. We also immediately bonded with the other guys in the group and made new friends. Highly recommended choice for sharing experience with strangers who quickly become friends! Family adventure
Yesterday was a very nice experience with my children aged 15 and 18. The equipment we were provided with is of good quality and the guides Andrea and Gabriel are very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a little difficulty and they were more than kind. I rented the cam and it was great to see yesterday again. I recommend everyone to have this experience with the family.

One of the best experiences of my life!
I really believe it is an activity that everyone should try at least once in their life. It was really amazing, the location was wonderful and Andrea was a perfect guide, super competent and a lot of fun! For me it was the first experience so I have no terms of comparison but I recommend it to everyone, thanks again guys!!!

Great tour!!
Super professional employees. Marta very helpful to organize a tour last minute. nOur guide Dennis gave us a great experience. nHe’s funny, and always makes sure of everybody’s security. nWe would recommend this tour anytime.nHowever, be prepared for a longer walk up the mountain to get to the starting point.
