Following the directions to the meeting point, we were immediately surrounded and greeted by various animals: dogs, cats, farmyard animals and a horse... and then we met Giuseppe, our talented falconer, who immediately introduced us to the birds of prey he trains: a peregrine falcon, a barn owl and a Harris's buzzard. After explaining in detail and with great passion the different characteristics that distinguish them from different points of view, we prepared for the walk in the company of the buzzard.Coming into direct contact with them and interacting with them was a fascinating, intense and interesting experience, always surrounded by nature and Giuseppe's stories, who continued to explain the origins of falconry, training methods and the behaviour of birds of prey.

Giuseppe is very knowledgeable and knows how to explain in a calm and effective manner. The experience allows you to observe different species of birds of prey up close and then go out for a walk so that you can experience the call and observe the flight and hunting of prey first hand. The surroundings, although still bearing visible signs of the earthquake, are evocative and the proximity of these animals takes your breath away. The activity is suspended in the late spring-summer period so as not to stress the animals during plumage moulting.
