Canyoning, or Canyoneering, is an activity that involves traveling the winding course of streams that flow through canyons and rocky gorges. It is often referred to as a mix of mountaineering and water sports because it has elements of both disciplines. A canyoning trail presents natural slides and high rock walls from which to rappel. There are frequently crystal-clear pools to dive into, and sometimes even tunnels and corridors of water to swim through.
Canyoning is a sport for everyone and requires no specific skills or experience. You just need to be in good physical condition, have good aquatics, and choose the course best suited to your level. Canyoning is always practiced with a Mountain Guide who ensures the safety of the participants.
The Palvico stream flows through the heart of the Ledro Valley, on the border between Trentino and Lombardy, not far from Lake Garda. In addition to offering extremely impressive scenery, this route is known for a 50-meter rope rappel, among the highest that can be encountered on a canyoning route in Trentino.
Canyoning trails on the Palvico are also characterized by a succession of waterfalls, natural slides, plunges, rocky gorges and plays of light Fun and excitement are guaranteed! To travel along the Palvico stream, it is possible to start from several locations in Trentino such as Arco, Storo, Pieve di Ledro, and Tiarno di Sopra.
Prices for canyoning in the Palvico stream are around 73-78 euros for an approximately 3-hour-long route. The fee includes all the necessary equipment, that is neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness and ropes. You must bring your own towel, swimsuit, spare clothes and sneakers or hiking shoes you’re fine with getting wet.

Yesterday was a very nice experience with my children aged 15 and 18. The equipment we were provided with is of good quality and the guides Andrea and Gabriel are very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a little difficulty and they were more than kind. I rented the cam and it was great to see yesterday again. I recommend everyone to have this experience with the family.

A wonderful experience, to be experienced at least once in a lifetime! The guide (Gabriel) was super nice and put us at ease. He made me live the experience without anxiety. I really believe it is an activity that everyone should try at least once in their life. It was really amazing, the location was wonderful and Andrea was a perfect guide, super competent and a lot of fun! For me it was the first experience so I have no terms of comparison but I recommend it to everyone, thanks again guys!!!
