Horse riding is a suitable activity even for those who have never ridden a horse before. In this case, before setting off, the guides offer a short introductory lesson on basic horsemanship techniques, during which they teach the basic commands to give the horses. Horseback riding tours take place mainly on nature trails, varying in length and difficulty.
The most commonly used gait is the walk, while the trot and gallop are used only in itineraries aimed at those who are already experienced. Horseback riding can be practiced year-round, even in the snow. You should always wear closed shoes and long, sturdy pants to avoid irritation from contact and friction. Helmet and technical equipment are provided by the riding school.
The Alto Garda Bresciano Park offers numerous itineraries to enjoy a horseback ride overlooking the lake. Tremosine and Toscolano Maderno are the places from which to set off on trails immersed in the greenery of the protected natural area between the Riviera dei Limoni and the Prealps.
On the borders of Trentino, the town of Arco is the starting point for many outdoor activities, including horseback riding from Alto Garda to the Dolomites. On the Veneto side, too, there are stables and farmhouses with horses that offer excursions for riders of all levels.
Prices for a horseback ride on Lake Garda vary mainly by duration. For example, a 1-hour tour costs 30 euros, while a day trip with lunch included costs 120 euros. A multi-day horse riding experience starts at 500 euros, all-inclusive.
A horseback ride can be a wonderful gift. Whether it is for a birthday, graduation, anniversary or any other occasion, an activity in nature is always the right idea. A horseback ride will be a welcome moment of relaxation, accompanied by the excitement of being in contact with animals and the wonder of admiring unique landscapes. Do you need any more reasons?

We had this experience during a hen party in April and the bride really enjoyed it. The people in charge were very nice and friendly and the animals were wonderful. I recommend this activity if you have never ridden a horse before because it is not too demanding

We did this ride with Agnese, who accompanied us all the way. The experience is very nice and relaxing, you walk between vineyards and large fields of grass. The horses are fantastic, and Agnese is very kind and knowledgeable. Super recommended experience 🫡 Thank you!
