21 Aug 2026 | Horseback riding in Foligno with aperitif
A truly special experience – not to be missed!
We had a brilliant experience with Massimiliano and the team. There were two of us on the ride: one first-timer and one with some experience. He was very helpful with the first-timer and made her feel safe and well looked after. He’s a friendly sort and a genuinely kind and funny person. The ride was gentle, taking in some lovely countryside and village scenery. The aperitif afterwards was incredible! They also run an agritourism business, where most of the food is produced on-site! The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We dined in a garden with spectacular views. A truly worthwhile experience!

We had a brilliant time...
We had a brilliant time – an experience we’d love to repeat. We went on a lovely ride; the horses were brilliant and beautiful, and the guides were very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back ☺️

A truly wonderful experience!
A truly wonderful experience!nnMy boyfriend and I found this activity on Freedom.nWhen we arrived, we were welcomed by Massimo and LuciannAs for the horse-riding experience, Massimo explained everything to us with great patience and professionalism. First, he helped us get used to the horses inside the paddock and, once we were ready, he took us out, allowing us to enjoy the full horse-riding experience.nnMassimo is one of those genuine people where you can clearly see that he does what he does, first and foremost, because he genuinely loves it. And it’s something you sense straight away.nnThen it was time for the aperitif, beautifully prepared and presented by Lucia. She served us locally sourced cured meats and a whole host of homemade treats, with those authentic flavours that, sadly, are increasingly hard to come by these days.nnAnd take note: they call it an aperitif, but it’s a proper

A lovely motorbike
A lovely, enjoyable ride – we’d been on horseback before, but he made sure we knew how to ride properly before setting off on the actual ride. The staff were extremely friendly and the aperitif was plentiful.

Highly recommended!
A truly wonderful experience – so much more than just a simple horse ride!nBefore setting off, they introduced us to the horses and helped us get to know them a bit, explaining in simple terms everything we needed to know to enjoy the ride with peace of mind. No long, boring lessons – just the essential guidance, even for those who’d never been on a horse before.nnWe absolutely loved the ride because it was authentic, not the usual circuit. We rode along paths with uphill and downhill sections, crossed fields and enjoyed a beautiful ride through the countryside. Two of the guides stayed with us the whole time; they were incredibly kind and helpful, and also told us lots of interesting facts about the horses.nnAt the end, we even got to stroke the horses and treat them to some carrots.nnYou can tell that the whole team is passionate about their work; they’re young, welcoming and really do manage to convey the love they have for these animals.nnWe’d definitely recommend it to anyone. It’s an authentic, fun experience, organised with real heart. We hope to be able to go back!

Simona R.30 Aug 2026 | Horseback riding in the hills of Trevi and lunch
It was an experience that exceeded our expectations.
The ride was very enjoyable and Simone was very helpful and kind; Vasco and Brigante are two marvellous horses – they were calm and easy to handle right from the start, putting us at ease even though it was one of our first times on horseback. After familiarising ourselves with the technical instructions that Simone patiently gave us before we set off, we enjoyed the ride, taking in the scents of the Umbrian countryside. At the end, we headed to the Bartoccio winery, where Simone treated us to an excellent lunch featuring local produce, which we enjoyed in the shade and cool of his gazebo in Piazza Mazzini, in the historic centre of Trevi.nThe experience exceeded our expectations, especially because Simone made us feel at ease the whole time. Thank you so much!!
