Skiing lessons for children

Skiing is a particularly good sport for children, not only because it allows them to develop strength, agility, coordination and confidence but also because it is a great way to socialize. In fact, children’s ski courses are conducted in groups divided by age and are based on a playful approach.

This way, little ones will learn while having fun, make new friends and approach sports naturally and without forcing it. In the San Cassiano ski resort, as well as in the surrounding towns and villages (such as Corvara, La Villa or the small hamlet of Colfosco) you can enroll your children in ski schools offering courses for all ages and levels.

Ski courses for every level: beginner to advanced

Adults, of course, can also take skiing lessons in San Cassiano. At schools in the area, you can learn the basics or improve your skills; you can try your hand at freeride and freestyle courses or discover other techniques such as Telemark. Instead, not far from San Cassiano, in Armentarola, there is a 26-kilometer cross-country skiing circuit and also a school camp where you can learn the basics of this discipline.

Finally, via the Piz Sorega gondola, you can get to the Alta Badia ski circuit, in which a world of ski and snowboard descents opens up, thanks to its location at the exact center of the Dolomiti Superski, the winter sports paradise in Trentino-Alto Adige.

How much does a skiing lesson in San Cassiano cost?

Ski courses and lessons vary in price depending on high or low season. To get an idea, a weekly group ski course costs between 200 and 250 euros and includes one lesson per day (normally group course sessions last more than an hour). For private lessons, however, they start at 45 euros per hour and you practice together with a dedicated ski instructor.

Gift idea: skiing holiday with ski course

Do you have friends or relatives about to go on a ski trip to Alta Badia? You can think about giving them a ski lesson or course as a gift, so they can use the vacation not only to relax but also to do some sports, enjoy the outdoors, and experience the mountains to the fullest. If you are running out of ideas and are tired of the usual gifts to keep locked in a drawer, gift an outdoor activity and make adults and children happy!

01 Mar 2024 | Private skiing tour with ski instructor on the Sellaronda in the Dolomites

We thoroughly enjoyed our ski instructor Sebastiano and being able to see the expanse of skiing offered in the Dolomites. We have skied for many years, but we learned some new techniques too.
