A brilliant mini-cruise that isn’t too nature-focused
We went on a trip from Porto Garibaldi to Lido di Volano – the ‘Island of Love’. There are plenty of positives and a few downsides.nThe positives are that, despite the choppy sea, the sailing was excellent, as was the entire crew, who were kind and friendly. The lunch was delicious and very generous; they offered us a second helping of both the first and second courses. All the timings were kept to.nThe only drawback is that the tour isn’t very nature-oriented… you do see a few waterbirds, but it lacks a bit of that adventurous atmosphere.nOverall, however, I’d still recommend it – just bear in mind that it’s more of a leisurely boat trip than a nature adventure.

A lovely tour, extremely friendly staff, excellent mixed fried seafood, a spectacular sunset out at sea, and the wonderful surprise of a huge red moon rising as we made our way back… a lovely experience, highly recommended
