The Ionian Sea meets the Adriatic Sea
Gigi is a truly kind, helpful and thorough person, and very knowledgeable in his explanations. Despite the slightly choppy sea on both sides, it was an unforgettable experience that I’d love to repeat in the future.

A fantastic experience
There were eight of us in total. When we arrived at the pit, we were greeted by a very kind young woman who gave us a voucher for the car park, which was about 200 metres away – no more than that. Back at the ticket office, after a quick headcount, she accompanied us to the start of the walkway leading to the harbour, where Pasquale was waiting for us – a very kind and really capable chap! He told us loads of details, including historical ones, about both Leuca and the two coasts on the Adriatic and Ionian sides. He also got on really well with the two French tourists who were part of our little group. We first visited the Adriatic coast with its sheer cliffs, then headed back towards Leuca for a swimming stop (25 mins) at the foot of the old holiday camp, before setting off again for the Ionian side, where we made a second swimming stop. The caves are stunning! The snacks and drinks were also very welcome. TOP!

A unique experience
My boyfriend and I booked this boat trip. It was a lovely day, perfect for the trip. The boat owner was very kind, friendly and helpful. The boat was clean and was wiped down frequently. The trip takes you past numerous caves and beyond, right up to just past Punta Meliso, where the Ionian and Adriatic Seas meet. There are several stops for a swim, and during the final stop on the way back, you’re served a lovely aperitif made with local specialities.nA highly recommended experience – we’ll definitely do it again if we return to the area!
