The Fassa Valley is a valley in northeastern Trentino, surrounded by the Dolomites. In its territory, on the border with Veneto, is located the Marmolada, the mountain group that has the highest Dolomite peaks. Those who visit the Valley in winter cannot give up the pleasure of a snowshoe hike among snowy forests and pristine slopes.
The snowshoe hikes in the Fassa Valley are evocative, fun hikes that are suitable for everyone. You can walk nimbly on fresh snow, enveloped in the silence and muffled atmosphere of the mountains. The stop at a lodge is absolutely a must, to warm up with a good drink or a typical Trentino dish.

The best snowshoeing routes and itineraries in the Fassa Valley
Many snowshoe trails in the Fassa Valley start in Canazei, one of the valley’s main towns, nestled between the Marmolada, Sassolungo and Sella Pass Dolomite groups. From here you can snowshoe to the Pordoi Pass and reach an authentic panoramic terrace over the Trentino Dolomites.
Other routes at the foot of Marmolada, known as the “Queen of the Dolomites,” lead to Sella Pass, Fedaia Pass and San Pellegrino Pass. They are all characterized by wide alpine pastures and breathtaking views of UNESCO World Heritage mountains.
Val di Fassa: night snowshoeing and dinner at a mountain hut
Those who want to combine the fun of a walk in the snow with a delicious meal can take the opportunity to stop at one of the many mountain lodges and taste typical mountain dishes. Many organized snowshoe hikes in the Fassa Valley also include lunch at a mountain lodge. And there is also the possibility of sunset snowshoeing with aperitif or night snowshoeing with dinner.
Organized snowshoe hikes: how much do they cost?

a memory for life
A beautiful experience that stays in the pages of life. Kind and professional staff. The dinner at the hut didn't really satisfy us, they were rather slow in timing and there wasn't enough food on the table for everyone. However, it did not taint the enthusiasm of the snowshoe hike

Very pleasant loop tour, easy as described. The guides managed the snow/ice conditions well enough to use snowshoes or crampons for shoes.
