Great adventure!...

Great adventure! We had beautiful cool weather and drove to the truffle preserve close to the winery tasting room. We followed the dogs as they raced through the woods sniffing for truffles. The dogs were so excited when they found a truffle and were rewarded with snacks. The dogs found plenty of truffles for our lunch. They seemed to throughly enjoy the hunt as much as we did. Returning to the winery, Lizette gave us a very thorough tour of the winery and their biological approach to wine making and the nuances of their particular processes. We went back to the tasting room, a beautiful spot with great views and seating inside and out. Lunch was excellent and included our truffles. Wines included a white, rosé, an orange (new to us), a red and because one of our group had a birthday, a special family bubbly. All went well with the food including our truffle discoveries.

So good food.

I had the pleasure of participating in a truffle hunt, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we set out into the beautiful countryside, I was captivated by the sense of adventure and the stunning natural surroundings. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about truffles, the environment, and the techniques used to find these precious fungi. The food was so good. It is recommended not to eat before this tour, as there is an insane amount of food. Possible to use pool, after hunting.

Wonderful experience!

Annalura and her dog Dodo gave us a unique experience. Beautiful and entertaining was the truffle search. Rich in competence and passion were Annalaura's stories. Maria's cooking was excellent and she prepared dishes with the truffles she found in the morning. Really recommended!

Beyond truffles, there's more!

Attracted by the search for truffles, we found ourselves in a parallel universe, an enchanted place that until now had been part of the fantasies, not the experience. Yes, we also found truffles, thanks to the expertise of two very sweet creatures, India and Africa, and to the patient passion of Michele who told us the story of the places and of the choices, his and Nancy's, to go back (?) or forward (?) in time or simply to move sideways in search of a more authentic dimension. The welcome we were given, warm and discreet, made us live in a magical world into which Nancy led us with great skill in conveying her passions, amidst zero-centimetre homemade products, stories of exchanges and barters between neighbouring producers, so that the food production chain remains confined to the area, without passing through industrial production.
