Everything you need to know before a quad bike tour
Quad bikes are part of the ATV (All Terrain Vehicles) category, so called because they can be driven over any type of terrain. They are equipped with large wheels and a sturdy structure that allows stable and safe driving even on uneven ground. A quad bike can be used to ford streams, cross cliffs and dirt roads, and overcome sandy and muddy expanses. They are the ideal companions for an adventure in natture with an unfailing touch of adrenaline!
To drive a quad bike, you must have a regular B driver’s license. There are basic routes and more technical routes, for which some experience and off-road driving skills are required. In any case, guided excursions always include a briefing on the itinerary and a test drive to get familiar with the vehicle.
In most cases, two people can ride on quad bikes: the driver and a passenger. Children are also allowed as passengers. To go on a quad tour, you must dress comfortably and in clothes that can get mud and dirt on them. It is also a good idea to carry a mask or bandana to cover your mouth and avoid inhaling the dust that rises on dirt trails.
Quad Tuscany: where to go for a quad bike ride
Tuscany is an ideal region for quad biking and offers many possibilities. The Chianti Classico and Crete Senesi area is one of the most popular for this type of activity. Starting from Asciano (SI), you will drive along paths immersed in nature and the Sienese countryside, in a real postcard landscape. You know the cypress avenues typical of the Tuscan hills? Here, with a quad bike tour in Siena, you will find yourself right there!
For a quad bike tour in the Maremma, it is possible to start from Montieri (GR) and explore the Colline Metallifere, delving into the more rural part of the area. Instead, those who want to discover the wilder side of Tuscany can book a quad bike tour in and around Lucca. Garfagnana‘s territory, in fact, offers trails among wilderness, rocks, mountains and streams.
Last but not least, there are the beautiful medieval villages that grace the Tuscan countryside. For a trip between history, nature and culture, you can leave by quad from Pisa, Florence or Arezzo and explore the surroundings to discover real architectural and natural gems.
Tuscany quad bike tours: how much do they cost?
Prices for a quad bike tour in Tuscany vary by location and type of experience. For example, for a 1-hour quad bike tour in the Crete Senesi area you spend a minimum of 50 euros. Prices for a half-day excursion to the Maremma, on the other hand, start at 150 euros.
These prices refer to quad bike rental for one person. Adding a passenger usually involves an extra fee ranging from 10 to 35 euros, depending on the length of the route.
Rates increase if the experience includes extra services such as lunches, apéritifs or tastings. To get an idea: a full-day quad bike tour in the Chianti hills with a typical lunch included costs 335 euros. In this case, the fee refers to the rental of a quad bike for two people and lunch for two.
Gift a quad bike ride
Gifting an outdoor experience is an increasingly popular choice among consumers, and quad bike tours are among the most popular activities. They are suitable for everyone, require no special physical exertion, are fun, and allow you to discover fascinating places. A quad bike tour is perfect as a gift for birthdays, graduations or other occasions.
A four-wheeled tour is also ideal as a gift for couples, since two people travel on the quad bike. If you decide to gift it to your better half, you could choose a quad bike tour with dinner and overnight stay in a farmhouse and spend a romantic and adventurous weekend in the Tuscan hills. Because of the fun and goliardic nature of this activity, quad rides are also popular for celebrating events such as bachelor parties. Ready to go?

Spectacular tour, super passionate Massimo
Massimo is a true professional and above all he does this job really driven by passion and you can feel it all!!! Spectacular tour, he very helpful, we changed route because there was so much fog and we would not have vieto the view then we did another route just as nice!!! He explained various curiosities of the villages visited and the valleys covered. We were lucky enough to be alone with him and in any case we set off on a tour without necessarily making a parade of so many quads! What can I say exceptional!!! I would do it another thousand times and will definitely go back!!! Incredible value for money, worth it all!!!

Beyond expectations!!!
A magnificent experience to say the least! This excursion will give you the opportunity to visit Elba from a different perspective if you will. The landscapes you will reach will be unique, breathtaking. Moreover, the driving of the quads (not to be underestimated) is an experience not to be underestimated! The organisation then is really top-notch. The guide was very serious and attentive to our safety, as well as very nice. I really recommend trying it, you won't regret it
