It was great fun – both the activity and the lads who looked after us. I’d do it again, but with hindsight I think it would be better to have a proper practical lesson before heading out onto the river, because for those (like me, haha) who have no experience of canoeing, it was tricky not to bump into everything for the first 15 minutes, though that’s all part of the fun.

At the beginning we found it a bit difficult because we had to get into a rhythm and learn to coordinate, but after a while we got on very well. It was very nice to be carried away by the current of the river and to have a different experience in the midst of nature. It's definitely an activity we'll do again, perhaps trying rafting with the dinghy, having the Judas on board with us. I recommend it to anyone who wants to do something fun, dynamic and a bit adventurous, even if you are a beginner.

As a first canoeing experience, I'd say it was a lot of fun. We were two doubles and the instructor, Junior, was very nice and very knowledgeable, always ready to pull us out of brambles or the shallows. Easy descent even for beginners like us, very enjoyable, with a break for an ice bath and to explore the river bank. Definitely recommended for an afternoon immersed in nature and coolness.
