Rafting: everything you need to know
Rafting is a river sport that involves traveling down the flow of a river. It is practiced aboard special inflatable boats, rafts. Each raft carries a crew of 6 to 8 participants, captained by an experienced guide who coordinates movements and gives commands. Aided by paddles, the crew overcomes rapids and other natural obstacles on the course.
Rafting is an activity for everyone. It requires no special skills other than a good relationship with water. Before setting out, we prepare by conducting a short lesson on basic techniques and safety rules. To go rafting you need to wear a bathing suit, thermal shirt and sneakers. All other equipment is provided by the rafting center.
Rafting Nera River: the best routes in Valnerina
Rafting courses on the Nera River start from Scheggino or Vallo di Nera, a few kilometers from Norcia. Rafting centers in the area organize river trips of all kinds, which can also be enjoyed by families with children. The classic rafting trip on the Nera River has a length of 5 km, is mostly scenic and has no particular technical difficulties.
In the Valnerina, you can also go rafting on the Corno River, a tributary of the Nera. This waterway is very picturesque, especially in the Biselli Gorge section, where the river flows between narrow overhanging rock walls.
Rafting at the Marmore Falls
Rafting in Umbria owes much of its fame to the presence of the Marmore Falls. This natural wonder attracts many tourists and water sports enthusiasts every year. A variety of outdoor activities are possible in the Marmore Nature Park. To go rafting at Marmore you can start directly from Umbria’s capital, Terni.

To go rafting in Umbria on a classic route costs 25 to 35 euros. There are often discounts for children, and equipment is always included in the participation fee, as is transportation to the point of embarkation/disembarkation.

Beautiful experience
All the staff, but really everything, was excellent: helpfulness, kindness, friendliness and so much, so much competence. Excellent organisation and spectacular places to see safely. A special applause to Stefano as supervisor, to the photographer (whose name I can't remember) and to the great Nicolò who guided us with skill and sympathy. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic
Everything was perfect, it was the first time and immediately they made us feel at ease, all the staff is prepared and above all nice, we laughed from the moment we arrived until we got home, an experience that we will certainly, if there is the opportunity we will do it again very gladly, I applaud Max for his preparation and friendliness and also the guy in the red shirt 😂😂😂
