Snowshoe hikes organized by Alpine Guides are a great way to discover the best trails in Piedmont, reach magnificent viewpoints and have fun in the snow in complete safety. There are easy routes suitable for families with children and more challenging routes for those who are not afraid to struggle a bit. Where to go snowshoeing in Piedmont: the best locations for a snowshoe hike
If you are planning a snowshoeing trip in Piedmont, you should know that the best snowshoeing takes place in the Monviso area, Susa Valley, Valsesia, and the Cuneo Alps. For example, Sestriere and Bardonecchia can be good starting points to explore the Susa Valley and perhaps alternate between snowshoeing and skiing.
Starting from any municipality in Valsesia, you will walk along trails surrounded by the peaks of Monte Rosa. While in the Cuneo area, you can snowshoe in the shadow of Monviso or in the Occitan Valleys, rich in history and tradition. Also worth considering is the Maira Valley, one of the most pristine areas in Piedmont.
Easy snowshoeing: routes and hikes suitable for children and beginners
Easy snowshoeing for everyone is organized in all winter resorts. Those on vacation with children can safely consider snowshoeing. Children will love the feeling of sinking into the snow and walking freely in nature, and grown-ups will feel a bit like a kid again too!
People who are not very athletic have nothing to worry about and should definitely not give up the chance to enjoy snowshoeing. Many routes include a cable car ascent, so that you can avoid climbing up, and once at altitude, you snowshoe on easy, mostly level trails.

Great experience! 🤩🤩
Great experience! For many of us it was the first time on snowshoes, we had a lot of fun, also thanks to the fresh snow from the night before! The tour is simple and within everyone's reach but the scenery is very beautiful and you reach a vantage point where you can see the whole valley! Susanna is very good, she tells many anecdotes and put us at ease straight away!

Highlight of our trip!
We had a terrific time! Our guide Susanna quickly got us acquainted with the equipment and into the snowy forest. She adapted well to our highly varied skill levels, finding a path that was challenging but not exhausting, and pausing often to show us points of interest and various wildlife-we were lucky enough to see some deer darting through the trees above. Susanna also took plenty of pictures and videos that she shared with us. Of our weeklong trip together, which took us many places, we all agree: snowshoeing in the Alps was the highlight. Probably we'll return someday! We highly recommend both the hike and the guide.

Experience to repeat, top!!!
Fantastic experience! We were lucky enough to be accompanied by Susanna, a really knowledgeable, friendly and kind guide. We snowshoed on fresh snow because it had snowed in the previous hours, magical landscape, it is definitely an experience to be repeated, I highly recommend it.

A magical experience
Wonderful snowshoeing, fabulous scenery thanks also to the abundant snow that covered the forest with a white mantle. But a special thanks goes to our guide, Susanna, who was very well prepared, attentive to the needs of the participants and ready to answer every question and provide valuable details about nature and activities to do both in winter and summer in the surrounding area. My husband and I were super satisfied with the experience. Thank you!
